James Kay Associates are looking for a Junior CAD Technician to join a well-known Engineering business in Nottingham on a full-time permanent basis.

As the Junior CAD Technician you will provide assistance to the Projects team in the generation of drawing/document packages to assist in the delivery of projects.

The role:

• Produce detailed drawings incorporating Technical Department and clients' requirements.
• Design of 2D mechanical module assemblies, electrical wiring and termination drawings.
• Space planning within set size enclosures and problem solving to accomplish.
• Preparing BoM (Bill of Material) to deliver information for formal documentation submission.
• Consulting and researching with Technical and Operations Department to standardise wiring design & practices.
• Inspection of goods from suppliers and/or sub-contractors.
• Work with QA and Project Team to maintain documentation processes and storage.
• Work in accordance with the company Quality Assurance system procedures and project department working practices
• Any other duties as requested by Lead Projects Engineer or Projects Director within reason.

We are looking for someone who has/is:

• Relevant AutoCAD specific experience
• Work experience in a CAD design role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Good IT skills with emphasis on the use of >Microsoft Office applications
• Personable and approachable
• Good interpersonal and customer relationship skills

Salary up to £26,000 DOE

Monday to Friday hours with an early finish on Friday 12pm
